I guess it should be no surprise that many of those willing to stand aside and let Putin have his way in Ukraine, are perfectly comfortable with the U.S.’s newest forceful foreign foray. It is unfortunate that the adage that “might makes right” remains so prevalent in the world.

I have a slightly different interpretation…Interesting how China has quickly denounced the US actions in Venezuela but has refused to condemn Russia’s actions in Ukraine. Self-serving perhaps but glaringly hypocritical.

I think everyone has to dig a bit deeper in your personal condemnation of Trump, America’s actions, Ukraine Vs Russia, and me as you sit and mock.
Trump has strong evidence that Venezuela has committed acts of war against USA. Not by bombing US cities or attacking US assets, but first by continuing death and destruction of US citizens by drugs, which includes the vast extent of bribery and corruption of your politicians, officials, police etc. Venezuela is not the only nation doing this obviously, but it seems all of you want this to continue without
Secondly, Trump has the evidence of attacks on the US election system emanating from Venezuela via control of voting machine software. You can find interviews on the internet which should be convincing even for TDS sufferers. Trump has declared such actions to be acts of war.
Venezuela (read Maduro and his superiors) has made itself an enemy and it deserves what it gets. The ordinary Venezuelans are cheering that Maduro is out. We’ll have to see what comes next. I don’t have the plan but I’m sure whatever it is, it will be better for their citizens.
As for the slavering support here for the dictator in Ukraine, research some history of actions in the lead up to the Russian invasion. Did Putin just decide Ukraine looks nice this summer, let’s invade? No, he was reacting to provocations right back to the USA’s removal of the democratically elected government in 2014 and replacement by a puppet government and the steady advance of NATO against NATO’s solemn promises not to try to include Ukraine. Do you justify that foreign interference by the sainted Obama? The US, EU, NATO caused the war, not Russia.
Ask yourself why the EU and lots of supposedly sensible nations are supporting Ukraine with munitions. What are their interests in this place? A place where real live Nazis still abound? A place of the deepest corruption and the home of money laundering, child trafficking, human trafficking, organ harvesting, and every despicable degradation known to man?
The answer is that our ruling classes have been drawn into that world, participate in it and profit from it whilst Russia remains a great bastion against such things and will not bend to the fantasies that are destroying the West - Islam, trans idiocy, denigration of their systems of government and civil societies, drugs, corruption etc.
Put simply, many people want a nuclear war against Russia which they see as the prime obstacle to a complete takeover of power by dark satanic forces. Russia, Russia, Russia is still alive a well in the minds of these people. Every action, Ukraine’s intransigence to peace deals, constant provocations etc are directed at triggering this war.
Trump and Putin will not comply. Be thankful for that, at least.
Any guesses on how long until TACO decides he doesn’t want that tanker claiming Russian protection afterall now that he’s got the whole country’s oil?

They did not attack to get the country’s natural resources. But let’s face it everybody knows the US really doesn’t give a rats ass about democracy but cares deeply about oil and money. Trump loves the leader of Saudi Arabia which is FAR from a democracy and heaps praise on him. Let’s him know the US has his back.
The democratic leaders of Europe? Rarely a nice word for them and he’s let them know their pretty much on their own.
The US war gamed a US invasion of Venezuela during Trumps first term [wonder why?] and determined an invasion would cause long term internal conflicts, rise of crime syndicates etc. So not a good idea. But the adults in that room were not invited back so he made sure to stock up of yes men and women from the start this time. Fox News was recruiting ground for over 25 current sychophants so whatta you expect?

Trump deals with the world as it is. You want him to only deal with democratic allies. He doesn’t divide it into goodies and baddies. I prefer him to be able to talk to every world leader and say what he has to say behind closed doors. He exercises power by carrot and stick and the warmongering europeans deserve the stick from time to time. Are the Saudis poking the Russia bear like they are, in the hope there will be a nuclear war? Europeans need war because they reckon it’s their only hope to retain power over their people, having utterly destroyed their economies and wrecked their societies. They’d rather reign over a smoking ruin than admit their policies have destroyed their nations.
That seems to be what you want. A smoking ruin without Trump is your Nirvana.

Well if Putin’s goal was to expand NATO & get Sweden and Finland to join, then he has been very successful. They never would have joined otherwise but it is just another example of a strongman’s egotistical violence blowing back as it always does eventually.
The more Putin uses violence and totalitarianism to push against NATO the more he will lose and NATO will expand, until his only remaining allies are beacons of freedom like Iran and North Korea.

NATO was formed to defend against the USSR. USSR collapsed. NATO has no further purpose other than belligerence against Russia. What else would such an aggressive, warmongering organisation have to do if not stir up war? Putin doesn’t want corrupt, stupid, rainbow-flagged, tree-hugging Western Europe. He wants to restore Russia’s standing. Putin is the Russian equivalent of MAGA.
Putin didn’t expand NATO. NATO expanded despite solemnly vowing not another step closer. Look it up FFS. Russia will never accept NATO on its borders. NATO knows this but persists anyway.
Yes, Putin is a strongman as is Trump. But if Putin is removed he’ll be replaced by a stronger, more belligerent strongman without the intelligence and restraint of Putin.
NATO can’t win without America, and America is saying NO.
