I just got this from someone in Costa Rica (which had a 7.9 earthquake this morning):
The Tsunami warning has just been cancelled by NOAA for all countries and all areas. No tsunami activity registered at the Acajutla station. It was a strong quake, we are about 20 miles from epicenter here in Papagayo, but have not heard of casualties and no tsunami is expected. Power and cell service were down for awhile but have been restored where we are.
Note: Papagayo is on the Pacific side near the Nicaragua border.
