I have 2 teenagers in 2 different high schools. In my sons sports, 10th grader, there’s only 1 out 35 members. Nice girl with great parents. He’s ex-Navy. Their daughter broke all the girl’s team records as a freshman. His school also has non- competitive soccer teams & I never got a count because I never go to those game but at least 2. My daughter goes to another High School with large student body, over 2,500 & they have trans soccer & softball players. Today is her last day of HS & she hasn’t participated in organized sports since 8th grade. She competed with biological males in AYSO.
Well, I’m sure there are very few, and there WERE programs where, when any kid who identified as different from what their biological make up was had access to counseling and etc. I don’t think that’s happening anymore? The problem was when a kid in college who was a biological male and then identified as female, who was a competitive swimmer - and this person had the stature of a 6’4" male. Now, I don’t have any problem with her identifying as a female, or wanting to swim competitively, or etc, buuuuttt that’s…not fair. I’m not alone in this opinion. The problem is that the media gave this story so much time - a disproportionate amount of time for this one off, and the terrible, terrible people who said…well, that’s not fair… For a tiny, tiny percent of the population that this actually affects, this gets WAY more air time and attention then warranted.
Reminded me of the “war on Christmas” several years ago. It is all the TV news equivalent of click bait. When I see people taking this stuff seriously I start to wonder if eugenics might have a use.
And here in Colorado, I’m sure elsewhere, there are a whole bunch of girls competing in high school wrestling so that complicates the whole subject, right?
Competing with boys as in wrestling boys? If voluntary sounds like fun.
Yup! I thought the same thing lol! I mean, if you are a 14 year old boy facing off with a 14 year old girl for the first time in a wresting match…can you even imagine the thoughts going through that boy’s head. Although to be fair, they all seem to be used to it and handle it admirably (got some teenage kids in the family who are wrestlers. When I asked them about this, they blushed and refused to say anything about it lol)
It’s never wise to underestimate anyone. In trump, I see someone who is cunning, rather than intelligent. He seems to lack the curiosity that accompanies intelligence.
Cunning like a mob boss in that the boss looks out for himself and his crew, his crew is NOT the MAGA faithful. But some things he does are just ignorant like the tariffs which have been already and will be in the future a cause of the US’s wider trade deficit. Tariffs discourages other countries in buying what the US produces. In March the trade deficit widened to $142 billion. Only an ignorant person would take something that only needed tweaking and choose to blow the whole thing up. Self inflicted recession and shifting alliances away from the US and towards other countries, all thanks to one moron whose on own marketing professor at Wharton called, ‘the dumbest god damn student I ever had.’
Being cunning is infinitely easier when you remove any human concerns about how your actions impact others, and your only focus is yourself.
Being cunning, he’s concentrating only on making one country, America, great again (and healthy again) and not the whole world.
I love it. Give me more. By more I mean more exploding heads of those here afflicted with terminal TDS who will still be venting outrage (and amateur psychoanalysis) at the results of their democratic choice years from now.
The thread will have to be retitled with larger numbers several times in the years ahead, but the tone will remain the same.
Oh to be led by a brainless, cackling Kamala, they cry. At least she wouldn’t do anything like he does.
I think Vance is smarter than Trump. After reading The Atlantics ill gotten inside text communications it was apparent to me Vance was the smartest guy in the room in that little group. He even expressed his own opinions which were different than Trumps. Everyone else in the group seemed to be Trump “yes” men which isn’t what good leaders need. (I think Trump prefers “yes” men btw). Those leaked communications were a benefit to Vance IMO. But I think Trump is a better politician, perhaps one of the best in our generation? Imo, for good or evil, he is a more effective politician/leader because he has no shame. He will do or say anything to further his goals regardless of what anyone thinks of him, even his own base. Him having no shame makes him unpredictable to his/our foes. I think Trump is going to make a lot of screw ups, all presidents do. Even presidents who don’t do anything screw things up by their inactions. But I’m not going to be one of the ditto-heads who think everything he does is a screw up or a masterpiece work of magic. Only the dumb think that way. Trumps foes should do a better job at picking their battles. Advocating for criminal connected illegal immigrants, not fighting terrorists at sea, pro-trans boys competing against smaller females for awards & supporting a forever war in Eastern Europe isn’t going to win any middle ground voters in the US. I hope the Democrats pull back towards the middle myself. Make picking a candidate in the voting booth hard again. Voting for Harris or Trump was too easy for too many imo. Either you loved them or hated them. Both were too extreme imo.
You will never understand how much many of us would like to give everythingTrumpian to you.
Sold! Thanks for the bargain. You can keep him but just send his policies. We’ll pay extra for the platinum premium overnight express delivery service.
We have quite a few very naughty people here too (Satanists are everywhere) who can be sent to the slightly renovated Alcatraz. I hear it’s to be renamed MAGAtraz and will soon be bulging with miscreant federal judges and miscellaneous deep staters - leave some room for ours. I’m also now looking forward to implementing the excellent offender rehabilitation techniques offered by El Salvador.
Can’t wait.
To truly support the cause and grow rich you should invest in $TRUMP and $MELANIA meme coins.
It’s a package, take it all. It’s kind of like a terminal disease, you don’t get to avoid the worst parts.

Careful. Ask yourself how this kind of dialog is helping your cause. Neither of you are gonna change anyone’s mind like this. The goal here is: Let’s not insult over half the population so that drives everyone farther toward the polar opposites so that we can A) figure out what the heck is actually going on because mainstream media is feeding us swill and B) not get a guy like this in the Oval Office again. Which we will, if we keep this kind of dialog up.
Concerning politics, I don’t think anyone on this forum really intends to persuade anyones opinions or further any causes. I know I don’t. I think the political rants are forms of therapeutic journaling to workout stress & to get thoughts & opions conjured by media out of our system. Hardly anyone keeps a diary anymore. Just write our thoughts, some best left private, on FB, X or gCaptain forum & feel better about ourselves.
From the below article:
Benefits of Journaling
Whether you’re dealing with stress from school, burnout from work, an illness, or anxiety, journaling can help in many ways:
It can reduce your anxiety. Journaling about your feelings is linked to decreased mental distress. In a study, researchers found that those with various medical conditions and anxiety who wrote online for 15 minutes three days a week over a 12-week period had increased feelings of well-being and fewer depressive symptoms after one month. Their mental well-being continued to improve during the 12 weeks of journaling.
If Cheeto jesus had convened trade talks 100 days ago like presidents before him and negotiated behind closed doors he would have got a deal done already.
Instead there’s no line in the sand that he draws that he doesn’t back down from. Remember the Houthis pirates he was going to bomb into the Stone Age? He backed down from that and made them pinky-swear to be good boys in the future.
He’s a poor negotiator. His fortune comes from money managers and bilking tradesmen through bankruptcies. None of that helps in his present position.
All he knows is bluffs, easily called. Useful against poor and threadbare nations in the short run, but self-defeating in the end.
He gets a free jet for himself. We get plastic straws.
