Trend of g/kWh as function of kW

Hi everybody and thank you

I would say that the fuel consumption in terms of g/kWh of a slow diesel engine tends to reduce when the Power increases.

For example a VLCC tanker would have a smaller total g/kWh than a Handysize tanker. I would say bigger engine, larger efficiency.

Do you have an idea of how much this reduction is? Have you ever seen a graph of the g/kWh as function of the Power (for typical engines)?

Thank you very very much

Google is your friend. There are project guides for every engine available from the manufacturers that graph all load conditions. It is not difficult to find that information since it is what sells their engines.

you want brake specific fuel consumption curves.
