Now that you mentioned it, I vaguely remember about those TDW company endorsed 100t licenses too. Super scary considering back then a mariner only needed 240 twelve-hour watches to get a 100t. If the requirements for AB/QMED was reduced to 90 days I hate to imagine the reduced requirements for 100t captain. That had to be a lot of campaign contributions being thrown around. Perhaps the New Orleans USCG REC being inside of the Tidewater building on Poydras St had something to do with it?
