Not for Nothing Nautical Trivia… Chris Walken was aboard the yacht anchored off Catalina Island with Robert Wagner & Natalie Wood, the night Natalie was lost overboard and we all discovered some wood doesn’t float. Just saying.

There’s been speculation that Walken and Wood were doing the horizontal mambo… but she’s dead and he ain’t sayin.
Moved this over from that DP Incident thread…
With regard to Steely Dan
You’re showing your age Chief!
That appears to be true.
Truly timeless music by stellar musicians.
This is definitely true.
But as to songs, I saw this one got a mention back in 2008 by the very Captainjacksparrow.
“Contemplating the Engine Room” by Mike Watt. Its a whole CD which has been called a punk rock opera. Don’t know about that (cause punk rock blew right by me) and I didn’t like it at first but it is an acquired taste. Now I can’t stop playing it especially the songs

Black Gang Coffee
grindin’ beans in the grinder
my life’s a grinder
freon blast got me blinded
damn, my nose still could find the
black gang coffee
cookin’ on the motor
black gang coffee
it’ll spin your rotor!
Or Breaking the choke hold
a drowning man
can pull you under
along with him
no thought or reason
emotion seizing
every limb
Or In the engine room
dreamin’ as I’m steamin’
w/the waves of heat
ripplin’ offf of my back
vapor lock clock stopped
time hangs limp for the rememberin’ dream
in the engine room, hey - oh!
can we do it? “hell, surely” winks fireman hurley
as he slips from his shelf
“hey, you earned your rate, machinist mate
you’re the left-hand man of the boilerman”
Also saw Mountain got a mention back then but not for Nantucket Sleighride (To Owen Coffin)
Talk about showing my age, but Leslie West, Felix Pappalardi and Corky Laing could flat out play some rock and roll.
Oh and as far as trouble shooting DP problems always look at what was touched last and who touched it.
Just kidding…we joke because we like you guys.
Or “My occupational hazard is; my occupation’s just not around”

No. It’s the opening lyrics to a song I’m writing. It’s goes direct from my heart to this forum.
