Singapore once more

Remember the story of “Fat Leonard”, the Malaysian with his business HQ at the mouth of Pandang River in Singapore?:

He got famous for bribing many high ranking officers and fleecing the US Navy.
He is still alive and now trying to get a pardon from President Trump:

He fleeced the Navy for millions, then fled the country. Now he wants a pardon.

In an exclusive interview, the legendary con man known as Fat Leonard, back in prison, tells The Post about his wild escape and his bid for a presidential pardon.

Leonard Glenn Francis, right, raises a toast to Navy Capt. David Newland, left, the 7th Fleet chief of staff, at a banquet for officers from the USS Blue Ridge in Singapore on March 9, 2006.

An undated photo of Francis, seated on a stool, on the deck of the Glenn Braveheart, a decommissioned British warship that his company, Glenn Defense Marine Asia, used as a resupply and force-protection vessel in Asia. Behind Francis are private security forces that worked for the firm. At the time of his arrest in 2013, his firm held U.S. Navy contracts worth more than $200 million. (Glenn Defense Marine Asia)
