I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation on where I could obtain a photo of the SS Marguerite Le Hand. I have looked all over the internet but cannot find any photos of the ship.
I’m not finding anything either. I did find the MARAD card for it. She was renamed the Hawaiian Craftsman and later the Pacific Banker. I’m not seeing anything for them either. If a generic pic will work she was a C3 hull from Ingalls.
Profile of design (txt search Marguerite) and will give at least names of sisters with more research.
Photo as HAWAIIAN CRAFTSMAN, so named after Matson purchased

Many thanks Tugboater and Jamesbrown. I appreciate the information. I recently found out that at the age of 17 my father had joined the U.S. Maritime Service. Based on a Certificate of Discharge document I found he was on this ship serving as a Messman from August 21,1945 to September 4,1945. I then found out that on August 25,1945, the SS Marguerite Le Hand, rammed the Guard lighthouse tender Magnolia, sinking it. One Coastguardsman was killed in that event.
My dad never talked about his time in the Maritime Service, so I was trying to find out as much as I could about the ship he was on. Thanks again for the information.
