Can some body help me with this and explain the sea service part of this I’m very confused. What do,they mean towing vessels, tug boat captain. Or tow BOAT U.S. captain
720 days of service MUST have been as a master, mate; master or mate (pilot) of towing vessels, or equivalent supervisory position while holding an endorsement as master, mate, master or mate (pilot) of towing vessels, AND
360 days of the service as Master, Mate, or equivalent supervisory position, must have been on vessels over 50 GRT; OR
They mean Towing vessels, not commercial assistance towing. You have to keep that paragraph separate. Either you have a year as Master/Mate on Towing vessels OR you go by the total days (with 720 master/mate etc), with half that on vessels over 50GRT.

It is not commercial assistance towing (“BOAT U.S. captain”]. It’s a towing vessel that requires the mate and master to have licenses as mate or master of towing vessels.
