Well…you do know he’s from Alabama - originally. And, it really showed when I told him about free alcohol on international flights. So, first class to him means far enough away from the smell of the shitter, but close enough to make it convenient to drink all the Budweiser on the plane.
Business class it is. Well… from here on out. They made a mistake and apologized and said they would take care of it in the future. If I would have said something sooner I would not have had to endure 19 hours of discomfort. The first leg to Moscow was not bad since I did not have anyone in the seats with me, but from Moscow to Singapore a couple from Israel got to snuggle with me for 9 hours.
Hopefully she was sitting next to your window seat or did you have the middle seat?

When in S’pore with little time to spare, have the taxi take you to Gaylang Loring 18, “window shop” the two or three blocks there, great if one likes Chinese or Thai. Also in the same vicinity are several very clean and cheap “Hotel 81” locations.

Next time, just save your money and visit Thailand. Thailand is great. Singapore is just expensive and blows…and not in a good way. I spent 3 days there in 2000 on a trip that included Bali, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore. I couldnt wait for the last 2 days in Singapore to be over.
Good Irish pub right next to Orchard Towers. Just as expensive ($14 Sing) for a pint of Guinness. They keep the whores out so you can actually enjoy a pint in peace. If you get to the north of the country. The Terror Club at the Navy base in Sembawang is excellent with an outdoor pool and $3.00 Sing Tiger beers.
I did not realize how expensive this place is. It is absolutely outrageous. I have been on the rig for three days now. Getting things in order for Sea trials. More work than I expected. Getting it down one bite at a time.

It is definitely going to work for PEMEX. Word is August on contract.
