I just came across a whitepaper for a possible Western logistical plan to get supplies into Taiwan, in a design I can best describe as, a pontoon boat with an RV parked on it.
Cajun Navy, if they won a defense contract. Redneck Yacht club takes on short sea shipping. Okeechobee tug and barge.
Jokes aside, not a terrible plan, where what is essentially a self propelled barge with a crew of 5-7 can be quickly slapped together and hopefully sent to Taiwan faster than China could capture or sink them.
Here’s a link to the full source, Can’t make heads or tails if this is actually a plan. Maybe more of a concept of a plan.
That may look like a simple RV to you but surely it’s the modernized version of the EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle was classified until unintentionally revealed during the filming of a documentary about Army life called Stripes.
I’ve watched SyFy movies and in “underground compounds” or in giant space stations, this is the kind of vehicle you usually see. My question is if that’s a truck, how many bales of hay, bags of fertilizer, cords of firewood, etc. can it haul?
