World’s largest floating object, the FLNG Prelude offshore Australia has been shut down since Febr.:
Will it ever start up again?
What does this say about the future of FLNG everywhere? (if anything)
World’s largest floating object, the FLNG Prelude offshore Australia has been shut down since Febr.:
no power and no toilets…
The Prelude is finally back in operation:

I believe that the entire crew on the Prelude are and have to be Aussies. I was once talking to person high up in Shell who was working on LNG projects. He said that he believes the next big thing is LNG and then after LNG its going to be Hydrogen.
There has been some big investment in LNG for sure. I was in Cameron, Louisiana for a bit and saw that huge LNG project being built.
More trouble for the Prelude FLNG:
With what is going on lately in the world Shell’s gamble in building the Prelude might just payoff…If it doesn’t break down again.
