Passive fire protection is designed to maintain structural integrity in case of fire on platforms. I ask a few questions and would appreciate some feed back!! 1. Have their been any citations and fines regarding PFP on offshore installations in the past 5 years? 2. How does PFP affect you?

I have never seen any citations. Where you would see any problem would be Class not approving the area(s) during shipbuilding phases or upon approval of the initial drawings. Where it effects most of us, would tend to go towards DP Class and your A-60 bulk heads and decks. Because of DP rating, you must have certain things separated, thus if you lose one space, it will not doom your rig or the DP and or propulsion system.
