Wrong. Taxing authority at the federal level is exclusively within the provence of Congress. There’s nothing apparent that would lend itself to a Constitutional challenge. There might be a vague equal protection claim against the SALT provisions, but in my view this would amount to little more than a law school, academic type hypothetical.

Because that has stopped them before… before you answer, please consider anything overturned previously by the courts.
