I’m 25 and was recently accepted to TAMUG as a transfer student. I’m doing the deck side.
I’m just curious from those who have been through it, what should I do to prepare for O-week? More specifically regarding the physical side of it. I’m 5’8 185lbs. Not terribly out of shape, but not in great shape either. I haven’t done any kind of real physical training since I played football back in grade school. In fact, I gained 20lbs since 2024, mainly due to me working a full time job and going to school full time. I’d like to prepare myself ahead of time.
Any other info y’all want to provide is great too. Given my age, I will be applying to live off campus. I’m not sure if I’ll be in Victor company or not though.
Half of the new 3M we get out of Texas have multiple chins. You’ll be fine.

Be able to run a mile, do 20 sit ups and push ups and it’ll be a breeze.
The biggest thing to contend with will be the heat and humidity, probably - it’s no joke but I don’t remember anyone coming out of TAMUG talking about how hard it was (when I did mine it was an absolute joke)

Geezus, us Boomers had to do more than that back when JFK started a physical fitness test for all elementary and jr. high students. I distinctly remember 100 sit ups being a perfect score in 6th grade and most of us were perfectly sore the next day.
