New incentives

I have heard that MSC is implementing some new incentives and restructuring. First off that they will be giving an additional unpaid 30 days leave for every 120 worked. This in addition to the 30 paid that is now offered. The second thing being a student loan repayment program that is something around $10,000 a year? Any insight to these?

I am not sure about extra leave and loan repayment, but I recently received an E-Mail from MSC offering a $36k signing bonus for a 1st. They maybe offering smaller bonus’ across the board for needed positions.

They must be hurting for people. If they are offering signing bonuses!!

If you want people, better make that extra 30 days paid!

Work 4 months! We’ll give you 1 month off, paid. Then we’ll lay you off for 1 month and then you can come sail for 4 months again. What a great deal!

Wow MSC, when desperate with Mariners on the beach as is the case today, why not just offer equal time???

Federal law. There’s little appetite to increase paid vacation for overpaid federal employees to stay at home. The public would howl.

Imagine it on Fox News: federal workers making over $200k a year while receiving at least two months of vacation demand their vacation be doubled - and paid - while the middle class suffers high taxes, stagnant pay and an uncertain future. Government waste and abuse at its worst!

Reality doesn’t mean much when spin gets ratings.

We’re talking about MSC, not Congress haha

A different ring in the same circus.
