When I was briefly on an MSC ship out of Norfolk there was this filthy old AB who was always sitting around in the lounge in his boxer shorts and a t-shirt and all he ever talked about was"Theres no soap! There’s no soap! They don’t even give you any soap!"… Like while we were tied up at NOB.

So yeah, you might wanna bring soap…

No, but really, bring a small flashlight with a red lens, for up on the bridge at night.

I know this threads almost a year old, but figured I’d try here. How’d the NEO and training go for you guys? I’m supposed to fly to Norfolk May 19th. Did you wish you brought more/less? or items you wish you had? Thanks.

How early in advance did you get your NEO date? I have been waiting for mine.

The whole time your in NEO and then NJ in training you’ll be near multiple Walmarts. Pack light, buy later, they’re not going to send you to Antartica.
