For all of my fellow greenhorns out there, this will help decipher the “Maritime-ese”. I’ll check around for a USCG one as well for all of the reqs, endorsements, etc acronyms.

Your correct (of course!) on both accounts but don’t have the full story. The picture is High Dynamic Range (HDR) meaning, I took three identical pictures at different exposures and merged them in photoshop. But no altering of the picture took place.
And the ship had no TEU’s on board because the photo was taken just after she was launched
