Exactly right, It’s not the USCG. No one said you can’t still come up via the hause. However it will cost so much these days to do it most won’t spend the cash to do so. Especially if there are few jobs to be had, Personally, I can’t blame a company for employing licensed graduates as ABs. I would do the same if I sat in management.
