Military Sealift Command -Cadet shipping program

Has anyone heard anything about Military Sealift Command stopping their cadet shipping program?

I sailed with them last summer. Haven’t heard anything about them not accepting cadets anymore. I’ll see what I can find out on campus.

We have cadets aboard right now.

what ship are you on?

There has been no talk of shutting down the cadet shipping program. Many of the ships have cadets on them now.

Why would they do that? It’s the cheapest labor they have!

I was out with MSC this past fall as a Cadet and there was a Texas Engine Cadet aboard when I got on in September and then in December 4 Kings Pointers showed up. And I don’t know why they would do away with cadet shipping, like said above its the cheapest labor they have and it also helps with their recruiting at the Academies.
