We always need good cooks. People gotta eat! Shoot me and email and we can talk a bit more about the details, etc.
and do you make your doctors also pay towards the grub they eat? I feel food needs to be supplied by the shipowner regardless of whether his crews are volunteer or not. Do your executives also all serve for gratis? Do you?
Are the medical staff seperate from the mariner staff? I would like to go there to meet like a medical resident or something lol. I’m single but I really hate sailor men. I find them crude and unrefined.
Do we know each other?
No, but perhaps if you are one of those medical residents that I speak of then we can arrange to meet…
Capt. Phoenix,
A lot of folks do serve for the purpose of getting time. If you’d like, you can shoot me an email and we can speak about more details or any other questions you have. Jared.Chacon@mercyships.org
In some cases, yes, we can offer short term positions (3 months). It all depends on how immediate the need is and other similar factors.
You didn’t answer me Jared. Is this stuff allowed or not? please send statistics of unmarried male medical staff, that means Drs and residents, how many are there and what is the ratio. Then I will decide if I can donate my time. Once they see a cute girl in coveralls they will never go back to the cliche white nurses’ outfit.

Sigh you just had to bring negativity to my happy day didn’t you. Don’t worry, I will delegate those types of duties to the high and mighty dde4000/ chief osv 3000itc who will actually only be able to sail as a QMED on there. It will be a good learning experience for him to learn how batteries and such operate and how they are wired in.
I have visited the ships a few times. It seemed very nice for those willing to make a faith based commitment.

I knew someone that did that. They got in contact with every single person in their circle of friends and family and friends of friends etc and set up their own sort of fund or something. They were able to do it for years from donations from people they knew. This person was actually doing it for the cause, so they got the donation money from the community they were in (church or something).
