Merchant Mariner Satisfaction

Never noticed this before but the NMC web site includes a stat for Merchant Mariner Satisfaction. Was pretty amazed to see it is over 95% for the past 5 years!

When i applied for my original Z-Card 11 years ago, in NYC, it was like a ghetto. The people where rude, nasty and could give a shit less. The new NMC in Wv has always been pretty good about questions, or paperwork. Boston is the only way to go, that and a license consultant.

The reason for that is they have people with degrees in dealing with databases and polls. If u massage the numbers correctly, u can get any result u want.

I used to do it while I was in and I don’t even have a degree. The reason I did it was because I was told to go get a rock. When I brought back the rock, I was told that it was the wrong rock. I would then ask what rock they wanted, I would be told so I would go get that one and bitch about having to get a rock that was NOT a true representation of what they wanted. This is one of the reasons I was basically banished to stay on ships after that…
