[quote=anchorman;14501]On the Dino Chouest, the Master, Relief Master, C/E, and relief Engineer has staterooms with large beds, separate day rooms with couch, desk, fridge, and 36" plasma TVs, 256k internet connection (which I’m using now) and Direct TV. There are also 26" LCD TVs in the bedrooms for the Master and Chief. All other officers get their own single stateroom, but not as lavish. None of these room are used while you are gone so you can leave and lock your door.
I had to add blue ray and 1000watts surround sound on my own though.
Word of advice if I may…Even though you can lock the door to your stateroom…I think it might be prudent to leave the Sponge Bob and Lion king bedding at home, at least for the first hitch or so…

I was lucky, In eleven years of sailing, mostly chief pumpman and electrician i never had to share room, but once i had to share my bathroom, and I can say it’s a pain in the ***. I think with the modern tendency of ships getting bigger and crews smaller it’s not too hard or too expensive to design and build ships where each crew member can have their own room and bathroom. I think companies should stop being cheap and invest a little in the well being of the crew, little things can make a big difference. It’s a hard job as it is. why make it harder?
