Found this video thought some of you might be interested in it. This seems like a bit of advertising for a heavy haul trucking company in Arizona but I still think it is a great thing what they did.
you’re right about the advert for PHH but good that historic iron wasn’t sent to scrap.
did you know that ARIZONA’s aft turrets were removed after Pearl Harbor and a huge wartime construction project begun to install them as coastal defense batteries protecting Oahu? Pretty useless once it was proven by the attack on PH that airpower ruled all in the Pacific and the war was over when they one was finally ready to test fire. How many millions of manhours and treasure was expended for such a ridiculous undertaking?
HOW MASSIVE WAS OUR NATIONAL EFFORT WHICH PERMITTED SUCH SENSELESS WORK TO GO FORWARD AND STILL WE PRODUCED MORE ARMS THAN ALL THE REST OF THE WORLD COMBINED?
