I took the three day Medical Care Provider (not PIC) recently at Northeast Maritime in Massachusetts. It was a great class… But when I submitted the certificate to the USCG along with other STCW certs… I got a letter back from the CG saying that the MCP course was not “USCG approved”. WTF? How can you offer a course that is not approved? Tried contacting the school twice and they still haven’t responded…I’ve always liked this school and am really shocked by this!
