May Day

Happy May Day (aka Worker’s Day or Labour Day) to all working stiffs on the forum.
It is a holiday in most of Europe and a major day of celebration in many countries, like Japan and Russia

Invented in USA but now an International day of the worker:

Yes it was. May 1 was chosen as the date for International Workers’ Day by the Socialists and Communists of the Second International to commemorate the Haymarket affair in Chicago that occurred on May 4, 1886.

But these days countries like the USA, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands donot celebrate Labor Day since we all hate communism and socialism. No feeble excuses here for not working.

USA has Labor Day on the first Monday in September.
