Isnt that Crowley’s reserve fleet division? The ones who man the ROS ships?

it is Maritime Management Services which used to be an independent company started by Trevor Stabbert sometime around 2005 to operate offshore vessels in Mexico as well as other places including the GoM. In the past, their clients were CalDive, Epic Diving, Veolia and Blue Marine. In 2013, the founder died suddenly of a heart attack and Crowley bought the company and they still own it today. At this time, I do not know who they are operating vessels for.
I have heard terrible things about working for “Crowley” managed ships as of late.

Don’t they primarily just pretend to look for American Mariners so that they can get visa waivers to bring in foreign Mariners to take the jobs.

a heart attack in Vietnam of all places. He was tightly wound and smoked too much, but still he went before his time.
I had worked with him since 1999.

I worked with him on the DIVER on a claim before you joined. “Tightly wound and smoked too much.” Yeah, that is accurate. . .

Want to also add that the EPIC DIVER was one of the most UNSEAWORTHY and UNSAFE vessels I even had the misery of commanding. That no one died on her is nothing but pure good fortune. No public address system, watertight doors which could not be closed remotely, structural fire protection which was non existent…reminded me of some of the worst fishprocessors I had encountered in my day back in the bad old 80’s and 90’s but she had statutory safety certificates!

No, the engine damage. . . . I think that someone else did the storm damage. . . As far as the way she was arranged, and so forth. . . .well, let’s just say that I am glad that I was neither sailing onboard OR a Class Surveyor at my time of attendance in the Veracruz Shipyard. . .
