Hurricane Igor’s eastern eye wall moved across Bermuda late Sunday and is now accelerating northeastward towards the Grand Banks. Igor could remain at or near a Cat. 1 hurricane intensity as it starts to expand into an extra-tropical storm low over the next 24-36 hours then it should gradually weaken. Igor is still a threat to North Atlantic shipping, especially along routes to/from North Europe and the US North of Hatteras and Canadian ports.
