The Estimated Limit of all known icebergs in the North Alantic has drifted south to below 42 N Latitude.
Huh. Why’s it changed? Sure seems like all that about global warming seems really plausible given that the icebergs are drifting farther south, which seems to imply they’re not melting as soon as usual.
More bergs calving off the glaciers, more wind pushing them S faster?
I remember doing a Transatlantic race in 1984 when we were forced to round a “mark” (CanCG vsl) at 40⁰30’N 50⁰W to avoid the worst!
(That was considered to be an exceptional ice year)
Maybe. I dunno. Not my AOE.
