This showed up in my local news recently. Our local community college is expanding their deckhand program to include tankermen and pilot training. Golden Barge, Magnolia Marine, Yazoo River Towing and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are stakeholders in the expansion. It’s part of the MARAD Centers of Excellence for Domestic Maritime Workforce Training and Education (CoE):
