Right off the bat, I respect all veterans I encounter. They have to do things to lose it because itās an automatic given for me. Now older female veterans, they are a notch above. I donāt even like to hear the shit some of them had to endure to serve their country & to make a paycheck. From my experiences, retired female veterans are mostly tough as nails. Thereās this one lady I get to work for sometimes whoās in her mid sixties, about 5ft tall, retired uscg, nice as can be but if you cross her she knows the steps to get rid of a person in a few days & doesnāt hesitate to do it. Traditionally the military & military academies havenāt been nice to females imo. Hats off to any females who make it out unscathed.
Things will only change when the commander-in-chief says things will change, and the CinC was found legally liable for sex abuse himself. True fact. Court trial and everything. Look it up. They have had almost 40yrs to correct it; multiple Presidents, multiple Commandants and Academy Superintendents, too. As it appears these allegations are true, not just at CGA but throughout the fleet, the CG I knew and served has lots to do to fix their problems.

And I do not want to appear to be making excuses for Vance, or any man accused of āmisbehavinā, but I also believe a person can āclean up their actā and forgiveness is available. Hopefully, Vance has āstraightened upā. When you research some of the acts of past politicians (Yes, Iām going there.) Like President Clinton, and he more or less got a free pass. Even President Biden has been accused. Does being a politician have this effect on men?
