Col John Boyd’s OODA loop is simpler. There are various versions some simpler than others;

This is the version that was used in the STCW Management and Leadership class

Here’s the Wikipedia version.I think this was the latest one used by Boyd.

The Cynefin framework is similar - the loop in four different domains - simple / complicated / complex and chaotic.
