Heard from a friend at the Stack that west coast towing was being dissolved, and that three of the new Ocean class boat were going out on long term charters in the GoM…anyone else heard anything?
MtSkier - currently slaloming the Pacific coast…

Crowley’s position on the West Coast has been sliding downhill for some time and I am not surprised at this. Weren’t the Ocean class boats built for the GoM? Someone told me that they have DP on them.
Speaking of sliding downhill…are there ski areas open already?!?
Heard that there was early season in the high country of Colorado…hey, John! Maybe we could use an Unofficial Skiing Mariners thread! My current slaloming has been with a poorly ballast dead ship tow water skiin’ the tow wire…

You are correct, the tugs will be DP classed. One or two of them will be DP classed 2, and the other (s), classed 1.
