Cracks found on FPSO

Cracks have been found in the hull of the FPSO Petrojarl Foinaven:

She has been on location west of Shetland since 1997 and her contract with Britoil (BP) has just been extended by 10 years:

Petrojarl Foinaven has a somewhat interesting history. It was originally built as a ro-ro/flo-flo transport ship Anadyr for the Soviet Navy by Wärtsilä. The conversion to FPSO included replacing the midship cargo section which, in turn, was later reused in the construction of the drillship Pride of Africa.
