And you are just another privileged american from an academy. Are you trying to take away from my main point the the Jones Act in Puerto Rico needs to be lifted? Or have you worked on that run yourself?

Grab a Snickers. You aren’t yourself when you’re angry.

QMED was about $300 per day, training engineer was $750 per day, OSV Chief $850 per day but more on certain vessels so it is very fathomable to go from training engineer at $750 a day to $1000 in a short amount of time. I was demoted back to QMED after training engineer so they could give the slot to a white guy that had JUST graduated from KP and who was lazy and didn’t know anything about the boat. Chouest still doesn’t have a Puerto Rican woman engineer at all. Chouest still gets government money. Puerto Ricans never even have a chance to know about Kings Point.

Yes you are in the wrong line of work. If you are a white guy or even a black guy I would say you should go work at Chouest.

And the admin that has altered my posts and been a sock puppet for these guys forever will say the thread has no redeeming qualities but he’s also just as racist and sexist and the rest of industry. gCaptain has never been very inclusive and neither have the moderators.
