Hi, does anyone know if the SOLAS Training Manual can be combined within the Safety Managment System? The later repeats a lot, if not all, of whats required within the Training Manual and it would seem logical to have one central publication for the crew to consult.
We’re a red ensign flag.
Any thoughts?

I sailed under an SMS that referred to our SOLAS training manual within the pretty lean Fleet Manual, so I guess you could consider them combined.
The SOLAS training manual should not be combined with the SMS. The training manual should be referred to in the SMS or possibly integrated into the SMS, but the training manual should be a separate document, accessible to the crew.
