Changes anticipated for dive boat operators

He wasn’t suggesting it, he outright said it.

Is there any such license as a mate for 100 ton?

Maybe master inland/mate near coastal?

There is, sort of. I avoided answering as the explanation just sounds foolish. But here it is.

It’s actually Mate 200 GRT with an additional tonnage limitation based on the size of the vessels the service is on under 46 CFR 11.422. Someone applying for Mate 200 would get Mate 100 if there service was less than 50 GRT. The NMC checklist also shows this under “Tonnage Calculation.”

There should be. The way it is now you just spend a little time on deck and go to a week of school and BAM, your a CAPTAIN.

@Capt_Phoenix Are COI’s public information and if so where would one search for them? Thanks in advance.

Literally the first result:

Welp now I’m that guy. Thanks

I get that PSIX lists the COIs and any dates. Where did the actual copy you posted come from?

It came from the link I posted:

I’ve had that same question for a while, anyone know where you can search/obtain copies of the COI (not PSIX, Class, Ect)? Anyone got a lead on this?
