Hey all,
I am have been trying to get a third mates job for nearly a year now, with no permanent success. I have an oow unlimited ticket, a bachelor’s degree in maritime studies, and about 5 months mate time on product tankers. I also have limited deckhand experience on harbour tugs and fishery patrol vessels.
Does any one have any ideas of places that might be hiring third mates? Although I’ve been trying to get into the offshore business, I’m willing to work just about anywhere that will get me mate time. Any help would be much appreciated.
