Why would anybody deliberatly dump 1000 t. of bunker fuel?
Could a 28500 DWT bulker even hold 1000 t. of bunker fuel?:

Deliberate? I doubt it, but it could happen. If there was automatic fuel transfer to the service tank and the shut-off/high alarms malfunctioned…at night. One hell of a mess.
