Hi everyone. I would like to know what does the average salary for deck officers in Europe. I mean for German, British, Netherlandish nationalities on merchant fleet (offshore is interesting too). I’m Ukranian so for us it’s just about 3k dollars per month onboard for 3rd mate, 5k for second, 7k for chief, and 10k for master. I guess for those nationalities who from higher life lvl countries it’s gotta be much more. Am I right?

This is a good question.
As a US mariner that would like to work on foreign flag vessels at realistic wages, I would be very interested to here more about Western European officer’s wages.
Here ya go … don’t forget that this is tax free income as well for most of them.
