Warming is occuring and GHG emissions are part of the issue as is urbanization. A majority of weather stations used in measuring surface temperatures are located at airports or in cities where land use has drasticly changed over the past century or two with massive amounts of asphalt and concrete, as well as, buildings, heaters, A/C units, cars, trucks, etc.
