A few years ago, I worked with a mate that was assigned to the ECO yacht that was moored in Washington, D.C. on the Potomac River. Heard a lot of stories about parties every weekend, free food & booze, plenty of beautiful hostesses. All politicians & power players in D.C. were welcome to come & enjoy the party. Plenty of contacts to be made, private convetsations to be had, etc. ECO also operates an ice research ship/ icebreaker for the National Science Foundation.
Chouest rose while others grew some or barely survived is he knew how to invest properly.And people like him are more likely to recover faster at lower cost.
