Lee’s article is interestingly dense, as was his CMM Meteorology class at MITAGS: he is full of knowledge but I sometimes have a hard time following his train of thought.
In any event, using multiple sources for your weather forecasts seems simple enough (on HP1 I use Wilkens and OPC) and yet not practiced by most of the mariners I have sailed with over the years.
I was a mate transiting the North Atlantic in October 1991and remember the captain not paying enough attention to the weather, that’ll never happen to me again!!!
