W Sapphire latest

There’s been a lot of activity on the Sapphire lately. Olendorff’s “Gertrude Olendorff” has been laying alongside. She’s a geared bulker and mentioned on Olendorff’s web site as available for ship to ship salvage. Marine Salvage - OLDENDORFF CARRIERS. McAllister has had a fire fighting equipped tugs alongside full time. North Star Marine’s launch N.S Instigator is shuttling between the vessels and Solomon’s Maryland no doubt with surveyors, salvage crew etc. It’s been nearly 4 months since the explosion about time something’s happening.

Too bad it isn’t summer, they could take their launches to the Tiki Bar.

W Sapphire left the Chesapeake yesterday destination Ferrol Spain. Two days earlier Gertrude Olendorff departed destination Port Elizabeth South Africa. My guess to bunker and continue with the Sapphires coal cargo to Mauritius. Port Elizabeth exports coal not likely buying.

I flew by the ship a couple of weeks ago, she looked lonely out there. I am sure the crew is happy to be moving again!
