Dennis A. Daggett, Executive Vice President of the ILA, has dismissed the CPPI rankings as misleading and damaging. According to Daggett, the rankings favor transshipment hubs—ports that handle containers for transfer between ships—over full-service gateway ports like those in the U.S.
That make total sense; US ports are owned and operated by greed foreigners that suck the lifeblood from starving Longshoremen so they cannot feed their families.
Increasing safety and efficiency, thus increasing the earnings according to goods handled for the Longshoremen makes no sense at all.
Machines constant need repairs and replacement, which is costly.
Who pays for that?
Those two individuals ( are they brothers??) surely looke like starved.
Last time I was in Frisco Oakland terminal i think it was 2016 i asked the terminal gate keeper if they had some meeting of port CEOs and other big brass or convention of some sort.
I asked because I saw a huge collection of luxury cars on the parking lot .
He explaind to me patiently these were the stevedores cars and added that gantry crane driver earns the yearly equivalent of POTUS salary.
I am not sure it was true or not but stories among seafareres circulate that longshoreman wages in US are the best in the world among blue collar workers.
In my subjective opinion of an ousider this whole thing is one of the Dems set up to derail future Administration .Sort of a land mine and not the only one.
Been in that parking lot more than a few times. I call bullshit
Thank You for confirming those two pictured individuals look like starved.
Stay assured though , the whole non-US seafaring community, that is allegedly " privilaged" to visit US ports , will give a sigh of relief when this particular labour will disappear or at least will be drastically reduced.
Ur a troll
