Tug Delivery – Louisiana to Michigan via St. Lawrence Seaway

I already did, sending the AD to the guys i have mentioned. They got the answer “NO” with explanation that green card issue and work permit could be handled but USCG requirement for USCG licence was not , even if they have got 15+ years experience. Also zero experience in US navigable waters -rivers disqualified them too.

So some of you should not worry , that your little J.A. paradiso will be invaded by the hordes of unqualified monkeys and mid european pesants.

You are an ignorant and opinions of ignorants are irrelevant.

I did not have questions to Dr.Sal .

I made a statement of FACTS basis normative references ( of course You have no idea what it means) , demonstrating that video material regarding the stowage of IMDG containers was a nonsense and ramblings of a man who failed to apply due diligence as far as research of the topic was concerned , despte having great advisiors and resources to do it properly or say it in such a way , that would not cAuse concern of those who spent decades on container ships .

Later I found from other quasi experts of thIS quack-ademia that this form of education was " dumbing down the public. " .

If this was the purpose of video authors lecture, then I rested my case as further discussion had no purpose especially when " we crowd" howled like the pack of wolves seeing their comerade spanked a little.

Interesteing though was , that all of his self proclaimed solicitors spend ZERO days on container ships let alone commanded them and yet had an opinion what is indicative of not only ignorance laced with arrogance but
of hubris .

I got used to it and do not give a shit.
So Li_Dumber. Over and out as i have wasted enough time on You today.

Okay, I’m sorry you feel that way.

Canada will mandate 2 engineers while in their water, regardless of US rules.

Canada could require two engineers with STCW, as well as require the entire crew to have STCW because the vessels are over 200 GRT and therefore not STCW exempt under US regulations.

Canada and the US have a MOU (memorandum of understanding) about US and Canadian tugs calling each others ports and getting equal treatment.

There is a lot of tug and barge trade between the US and Canada on the West Coast. Usually, no Canadian officials come to an American tugboat or check anything. No Transport Canada. No Customs. No immigration. However, I’ve heard stories of Companies having to fly a licensed engineer up to Canada.

On the East Coast, there is some, but not a lot of cross border tug and barge trade. Canadian checks are much more often, maybe every time.

American and Canadian tugs coming into the US are checked by US Customs and Immigration every time.

An American tug entering the St Lawrence system at Montreal is probably going to be checked by Canada.

I do not know what the current status is during Trump’s 51st State talk, tariffs, hyper-aggressive ICE gestapo, etc., but American tugs may be getting a lot of frosty scrutiny in Canada.

The US Army Corp, USCG, Transport Canada, and the St Lawrence Seaway Commission - all need to be given a heads up about Barefoot Delivery Skipper’s intended illegal tugboat voyages from New Orleans to Detroit.

It would be hilarious to watch the USCG completely drop the ball until the tugs get detained by Canada in Montreal.
