I am kind of surprised they did not bring the barge to a even keel before getting underway. Am I missing something?

They have been doing this since the early 1960’s,They would have to wait about 2 hours to pump the water out,And they just dumped a lot of the weight from the logs,A barge did flip over during log dump years ago.
