Tell me about your job o/b Vessels operating for Wind Farms

Good Day Everyone,

I am an ex-Merchant Navy Officer, now working ashore and contributing to maritime newspaper.

I am looking for someone working onboard a service vessel (or construction vessel), operating for Offshore Wind Farms.
I’d like to write an article about the possible difficulties of the job, and how different it could be compared to “traditional” types of merchant vessels.

If you are that person, or you know such a person, pls answer this thread ! I’ll just have to ask you few questions.

This forum is mainly populated by Americans, who’s government has had the sanity not too build offshore windfarms, so there will not be many people on here who work on that type of vessel.

It is mostly north European governments who are run by mentally retarded neo-communists who waste their peoples money on totally inefficient and pointless offshore wind farms.

however I was under the impression that gCaptain has an international public - I am French and I live in UK, where gCaptain is read a lot.

So I still hope to find someone…And it could be a worker from, let’s say, a heavy-lift jack-up vessel, operating temporarily on a wind farm…

if that is the case, I wonder what our UK brothers think of the bloody fisticuffs we engage in here over the GoM bosses? I bet they think it is a reenactment of some bloody Civil War battle where the peons are dying pointless deaths for the wealthy plantation owners to keep their slaves?

European politicians blow (hence wind farms), and US politicians suck (our money for pork barrel projects). Mange votre escargots et nous mangons le Big Macs si vous plait. Sorry if my french is a little rusty.
