Hi!
Do you know where can i find a summary of all the vessels that have been hijacked in 2011?
thanks!
IMB piracy reporting center. http://www.icc-ccs.org/piracy-reporting-centre
i didnt find a formal list of all the hijacked vessels, i just found the map…
thanks any way:)
They have a facts and figures but not specific to vessel names or anything like that as far as I know. They say 42 vessels in 2011. What you can do is cross reference the Live piracy report, EUNAVFOR press releases, Nato shipping centre data, Somalia report news and gCaptain news. Once complete feel free to send to info@gcaptain.com
Or try contacting IMB directly. I’m sure they’d give up whatever they have.
Oyibosonline.com. For Nigeria attacks and info. Go to headlines. Also keeps people up on the political situation there.
actually im looking for hijacked vessels in the east of IO and Arabian Sea
but thanks a lot
contact maradsecurity@dot.gov for their reporting also. Dont know what you need the statistics for , but they have a lot of ships that may be “carried over” from previous year, meaning the seisure is still ongoing. So check definitions on that.
Wish I could share all I found on it a year or so ago, but lost all the links, pdf’s etc.
Depending on how much you need, you have to keep digging/surfing and emailing.
