A deep draft ship (47’) ran aground yesterday right inside the entrance to SW Pass and the Pass has been closed for about 24 hours to anything over 30’ draft in or out. Latest rumor is the ship has now silted in and they have to bring a dredge in to dredge it out. Should screw up traffic in the river for a bit!
